S3 Storage Solutions was founded and is under the direction of Andy Bilmanis.

 

Andy is an entrepreneur and a mechanical engineer by degree.  As the Principal of S3 Storage Solutions, he is responsible for the underwriting, syndication, development, construction, and overall management of new self-storage projects.  He has personally invested in numerous other self-storage projects nationwide and performed his own underwriting on each. He is a member of the North Carolina and national chapters of the Self Storage Association.

 

He had previously worked for over 23 years in Project Engineering and Management roles associated with industrial design and construction.  Through these projects he has been responsible for equipment and structures valued at more than $250M.  His roles have included system design, project estimation, cost control, scheduling, and resource planning.

 

Andy’s entrepreneurial work has also lead him to become a Partner at Last Mile Solar, a solar energy system design and installation company with offices in New York, NY and Burkina Faso, Africa.  The vision of Last Mile Solar is to electrify Western Africa using clean, reliable, green energy.  In addition to providing photovoltaic systems, through this company he also developed a computer application program to assist with system designs, domestic/international supply chains, and logistics.
